  1. Quick setup:

  4. Download Hippoplayer ( ftp://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/mus/play/hippoplayer.lha )
  5. Download Play16 ( ftp://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/mus/play/Play16_1.9.lha )
  6. Download GMPlay (latest version: ftp://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/mus/midi/GMPlay13.lha )
  7. Download MPEGA ( ftp://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/mus/play/mpega.lha )

  10. Install and configure each proggy till you can play each sound-format nicely.

  14. Concerning Hippoplayer: configure it, play some mods and if you
  15. are satisfied with the quality and the settings, copy the Hippoplayer Prefs
  16. (which Hippo saves to S:) to PlayGUI:SoundPrefs/USER, so that you can
  17. select those from within PlayGUI. (Tip: You can also configure Hippo
  18. two times, one for 14bit and another config for 8bit. Copy them to
  19. PlayGUI:SoundPrefs/8bit and PlayGUI:SoundPrefs/14bit. Now you can switch
  20. between those configs from within PlayGUI)

  23. Start PlayGUI and select 'Config' from the Prefs menu. Now click on
  24. 'Path Config' and enter/choose Hippo, Play16, MPEGA and GMPlay there.

  27. That's it - you should now be able to play and enjoy MODs, Samples, MIDI-files and
  28. even MP3s with one single and skinnable player-GUI!:)
